Ashley has been in love with music since she was a young child. She grew up with her parents traveling around in a southern gospel group, so singing has always came naturally to her. In fifth grade she started playing violin, which she played for five years. It was her sixth grade year that she discovered the drums and went on to continue playing in high school, Governor's School, and through college at the University of South Carolina. There she majored in Music Education with an emphasis in percussion and had the opportunity to play with SO Percussion, Scott Herring, Susan Powell, and Joe Krygier among others. Ashley has played drumset in church before, but Hollow Point is her first rock band! Her influences include Chad Smith, John Bonham, Adrian Young, Nathan Followill, Neil Pert, and Ringo Starr to name a few. She plays a custom Palmetto Percussion kit.
